Barney

Lila has been completely obsessed with Barney since she had chicken pox back in November. We started letting her watch videos while she was sick (since she never slept), and she fell in love with the big purple dinosaur. We thought it was so funny, because she is such an active little girl, that it was so shocking to see her stop dead in her tracks and stare at the t.v. at the sound of Barney's voice. At the time, we were sure it was only a fluke, but the interest has persisted and Lila seems to sincerely love that dinosaur. She has a Barney poster on the back of her door that she talks to frequently, and her favorite part of the day is when she gets to watch Barney at 11:00. She dances, she sings, and sometimes she sits on the couch in dead silence staring a hole in the television. She constantly asks where Barney and Baby Bop are at. So, a couple of weeks ago when Lila got the opportunity to meet her favorite movie/rock star, how could we deny her? We waited in line for an hour and 45 minutes to meet the legendary Barney, but I have to admit that it was worth every second. Lila was definitely starstruck!
